Boulder Nutrition Educator, Lifestyle Coach and Psychotherapist, Mary Kay Irving will give a presentation on the Ketogenic diet followed by Q&A with fellow Keto proponents including a long time ketogenic vegetarian and an active athlete.
Mary Kay, an experienced trauma therapist, suffered a life changing health crisis in 2006. Following her recovery, she went back to school to expand her training in the field of nutrition. In 2016, Mary Kay opened Boulder Center for Health and Nutrition with a mission to educate and empower others with the latest nutrition science, mindfulness and lifestyle practices and EMDR therapy to help people attain their happiest, healthiest life.
Mary Kay advocates for the use of nutrition and lifestyle habits to overcome depression, sugar and carb addiction. She specializes in ancestral lifestyles including gluten free, paleo and ketogenic lifestyles. She incorporates these lifestyle practices into her integrative approach to healing from trauma, anxiety, depression and addictions as well as for people recovering from cancer treatment and stabiizing blood sugar.
